Cemetery

Post by Steve Rogers on 2/22/2012, 11:05 pm

I walk in. Every inch of me hurt. I was covered in horrendous burns and cuts and gashes from the shrapnel. I watched a funeral take place from far off. Funny. I felt strangely sick watching my own funeral. Funny. No one came.

OOC: you can read my post in "Taxi." under New York.
After walking for what felt for hours, I found the cemetery. I found a tombstone, and saw the funeral just ended. I cursed myself. I couldn't even show up. Nobody seemed to bother to show up for his funeral. I felt terrible. "Chili, if there is a next time, tell me earlier." I moaned. He simply nodded, keeping his big mouth quiet. He walked on the ground, next to me. I knelt not caring if my jeans get ruined. I felt miserable. I really had nobody now. I looked at the flowers, and placed them by his tomb, and silently cried. "The old Noonian died, too." I noticed how it was funny how it was sunny, unlike the movies where it's pouring at funerals. But if this was a movie, which it wasn't, things should've ended right; he'd be here right now, loving me. Nix wouldn't hate me. Hanson would be cured as well as Nix, and I would t cause the problems. But it usually isnt a happy ending for a demigod. "And I love that old Noonian. I always will, and you should know that." I cried some more. "I should've tried harder to save you. But I let you die," I whispered. In a way, I did let him die.

Hazel... Came? He was wearing black... Crying... Funny. I thought she'd show up to my funeral in a red dress. I felt sick inside and pulled my hood down more. She really loved me... What had I done? I let a few tears dribble down my face.

...then Electra starts barking and howling. "No! Sh! Bad dog!"

I heard a dog making noise. I didn't bother looking up, to wonder where it came from. I sniffled, and shed more tears. I sloppily wiped them away, and swallowed, a lump in my throat. I began to say a Greek blessing, stopping every few words, gasping for breath.

My heart ached for her. "Electra be quiet!" perhaps a bit too loud

I swore, I heard something... Somewhat like Noonian's voice. I shake my head. I had to be imagining it. But, I didn't know a dog named Electra. Maybe it was somebody else? Had to be.

Nix stood behind Hazel, her face like stone. She spun on her heel, passing a nearby tree. She punched it out of anger, then wincing. The pain didnt really matter. It was more soothing to he a the moment, as she couldnt muster up a thought, cry, or just say a word. She felt like...nothing.

"He's dead. What does it matter now? He was going to waste away his life on drinks and cigarettes anyways," Nix coldly said.

Nix trembled, unsure if she should hit her. Instead she hugged Hazel back. "I hate him for dying," She murmered.

That wasn't Nix. That voice belonged to... Noonian. I was sure of it. So I wasn't imagining it. Even Chili, squawked, "Noonian!" He then flew away, towards a tree that had a human like shadow. "What...?" I wiped away my tears, having much more faith now, that he was still alive.

Chili knew what Noonian's plan was. He was there, after all. Realizing he made a mistake, he flew back to Hazel, acting out a confused angle of his neck. "No Noonian, dead. Just another man, at another funeral." the bird lied.
Most of my faith drooped, but I had a little left. Noonian was alive, and I had to figure this out.

I sensed a lie. "Chili, if you are Lying, I promise to you a whole entire month of no seed mix." Something, the bird was very protective about. "You WWRRRROULDN'T DARE," he screeched. "I very much would, because this is an important matter." my nose was red, as well as my eyes. "I-I'm not, Hrrazel Granger!" "I know when my own parrot is lying, because he stammers when he does.
