The stables at night (Open)

Post by Bucky Barnes on 12/6/2013, 10:37 am

Marie walked toward the stables. The night air blowing her dark hair into her face. She was wearing her jeans, with an orange camp tee shirt under a blue sweatshirt. Maire looked up at the sky, looking for anything familiar. Of coarse, to her, most of the sky was familiar. She found Ursa Minor, in the sky just above her. She was heading south, according to the north star that was just behind her. She could hear the horses from where she stood. A smile appeared on her face. Marie didn't necessarily come to the stable to be inside, she hated to be indoors at night.
The horses reared when she entered. "It's okay..." She said in a soothing voice, trying to make the horses as calm as possible. "I won't hurt you..." She said, resting her hand the muzzle of a dark horse... or, Pegasus, rather. Marie had no idea what was setting them on edge, she didn't have powers. Her half-blood smell wasn't that strong, considering she was the child of a minor goddess. "It's okay." She stroked the mane of the Pegasus, which seemed to calm the others as well.

Lilitu Siavash was also one for late-night wanderings, often ending in either the forest or the stables. She had yet to be claimed, and felt insignificant, seeing as nobody knew her, or even bothered talking to her. She was thinking all of this as she stroked the black pegasus' nose, wishing she could speak with them like the Poseidon kids as the pegasus shook its head and whinnying softly. She heard footsteps coming near, and blended into the shadows of the stable door, seeing Marie walk in and start patting another black pegasus. She drew courage from the horses, and stepped out into the moonlight, still too quiet to be the one initiating the conversation. Nisha, her pet rat, poked its sleepy head out of her leather jacket pocket, nose twitching as it scented the air. Lili followed suit, and found nothing except the hay, barley, the scent of horses, and was that... blood?
