I replied, "Damn right it is. I'm glad someone agrees. But I've also heard an outside perspective. She said to train hard and be a soldier, but live your life as well. I've tried it, and I think it works."

OOC: Maybe she thinks on this suggestion, then decides to start taking said advice with Jayce as her new boy toy. xD

"Hmpf. I'm not sure it could ever fit with the lifestyle of a roman warrior"I frowned and shook my head negatively

I said, "I've given it a shot, and I can say that it works. It doesn't have to be big, just something you'd enjoy outside of fighting. Don't go overboard with it."

"I don't think there's anything other than fighting. So I guess your advice won't work on me"I chuckled and ran a hand through my hair.

I said, "Yeah? What about when your time in this army is up, and you retire? Who'll you have with you then? That's why I'm saying, best you figure it out now."

I then answered, "And your legacy? Will you let yourself be forgotten? If you don't have someone to carry on your legacy, who will remember you?"

"If you're asking about children, there's no way in Tartarus. I'd rather be forgotten"I sneered and glared

I responded, "Why? What exactly would that gain you?"

"A life full of what I want. Days and nights spend in the arena, battles with monsters and missions. That's what I would gain"I raised my voice angrily as I turned to glare at him

OOC: Yes, don't worry

I said, "Your choice, your call, not mine. I personally disagree, but only for my plan when I get older. In the meantime, I'd prefer the person I love to be capable in combat, and able to help me on my adventures, as I imagine you would want." I paused a moment...then realized I'd basically described her as I knew her. Hopefully she wouldn't catch on to that little slip, but I wasn't too sure of it.

"That's our basic difference as male and female. We females will sacrifice everything io achieve what we want. You males can just compromise, settle with how life turns out and convince yourself that everything is okay"I explained and smirked

I asked her, "If there were a guy who was capable in combat that loved you, would you let him join you? It's an honest question."

OOC: Maybe she can think he was speaking of himself.

"It depends. If his intentions were to turn me into a pathetic little housewife, then there is no way."I replied

OOC: Nah, she's not the assumptions type. She needs things to be clear, she's not one for guessing and dancing around each other

I said, "And if those were not his intentions? What then?" How did I get from fighting her to asking such questions? I didn't know. I began to think of the Master Chief, his will to live, and to fight on. But in the end, he was human.

OOC: Jayce would like that. So how will it happen?

"There is no guy who would ever give a woman such freedom. You're scared little creatures and you want to keep us restrained because you know that we are far more superior than you"I spat angrily and crossed my arms

I said, "Very generalizing statement, there. I would give a woman such freedom, what would I have to lose, really? Besides, my fight is far from done, and I want the person I love to be able to have my back in battle."

OOC: She fits this profile perfectly.

OOC: I think this fits Jayce's character growth.

I answered, "No, I don't. If you were to try to kill me for this, we'd have to call it a draw again. In combat, neither of us would win. What would I be afraid of?"
