Carter always knew he was a loner. He didn't necessarily like it, but he got used to not fitting in a long time ago. Maybe it was because he pushed other people away. Even so, he wished this girl woul leave him alone.

Carter decided to take a nap, pleased that she left him alone. He fell asleep quickly, and his dreams became dark with fear. He shivered from his own terror.
