As I'm walking back to the unclaimed cabin, I notice a cabin that I immediately recognize as the Norse gods cabin: with traditional decorations, and everything. I smile. Why hadn't I seen that before? I run back to the unclaimed cabin to get my stuff.

I run in. As I drop my stuff on a bed, I notice that all the beds are empty. I shrug. I've never had my own room before, this is going to rock! Maybe I'll make some new friends!

I plug in my speaker and start blasting some music. I lie back on my bed and sigh contentedly.

I open my eyes and realize I've been asleep. I notice some stuff on another bed. I have a bunkmate? Cool! I decide to sit on my bed and read while I wait for him to come back.

I set my book down and smile. "Hey! I'm July, daughter of Vioarr. I was assigned to be cabin leader, but for now it's just you and me. Odin? That's cool." I never knew if my mentor, who had that name, simply shared it with the deity, or if he was the god. "If you need help finding your way through camp, just ask me!"

"Thanks" I replied. "So we're the only ones in Norse cabin? I know this is a greek god's place but you would think that there would be more than two children of the norse gods."

I shrug. "Not all of them even know about this place, and none of the Norse deities are powerful enough to be considered a danger and have to be tracked down by satyrs. Though some are noticed by satyrs." I sigh, remembering my journey here, and go on. "How did you get here?"

"Chased around the country by a horde of hellhounds and a couple satyrs. I didn't really trust them. It took me a couple months to get here and most of the satyrs just plain out hate me." I said.

"Ooh, that's harsh. I made my own way here, from all the way across the country. It was an exciting journey, but frightening too." There had been a satyr in my town, I'd heard from Odin, but as I was homeschooled, I guess I wasn't notice. I did get a chance to meet up with a few satyrs on my journey, though. I sat back down and tied my hair up into a ponytail.

I smile. Finally, someone just like me! I unsheath my Stygian ice sword, the sun from outside glinting on its shiny white surface. I move the sword in what I know will summon Clary, and sure enough, my hellhound bounded through the door seconds later. I cuddle her. "Hey Clary!" I say, and she licks my face. "Eww!" I wipe my face with my sleeve.

"Bye!" I wave, and invite Clary up onto my bed. She scrambles around, muddying my coverlet. "Clary!" I say scoldingly. She just wags her tail, and I laugh.
