I walk in and look around. He had nothing in particular to do in mind. Maybe just cause some trouble and fight few people, but otherwise there was nothing in his mind to do.

Tristan gulped and tried to see behind the brush. It seemed pretty big, whatever it was.OOC: What should it be?

A hippalectryon burst from the shadows of the trees. Half horse and half rooster, it reared on its hind legs and kicked it's horse's legs at them. Landing hard, it snorted and pawed the ground. It beat its magnificently plumed wings and they were buffeted by the sudden wind.

Aria gulped and retreated slightly. "Interesting creature to stock in the woods," she managed.

Tristan reeled. "That's Greek?" he said, drawing his sword. He took an experimental jab at the creature's neck.
The hippalectryon snorted and aimed a kick at Tristan's head. It missed him by inches.

"If it's here, then it must be!" Aria cried, circling around to it's left flank. She slashed at its side.

The hippalectryon dodged and landed clumsily, most of it's weight now on its right side. It swung its head around to glare at her.

Aria's eyes glowed suddenly white as their eyes met.

The monster let out a human-like scream as the madness struck.

The hairs on the back of Tristan's neck stood up at the creature's cry. He stared at Aria in awe, and a little fear. She had an almost ethereal apperance, standing there with her eyes rolled back.
The hippalectryon kicked it's hooves in the throws of madness. It began to run in circles.

The monster reared as it stuck at phantoms only it could see. Sweat gathered on its flank and its eyes rolled in terror. It leased a hoarse cry of fear.

Aria was hardly aware of anything as the world suddenly blackened before her eyes. Then everything refocused. She raised her sword and charged the creature as it swung to face Tristan and slashed at the place where the horse's upper body joined smoothly with the rooster's.

Tristan snapped out of his daze and raised his sword as the crazed beast approached him.

As Aria's sword hit the monster it whirled around and, bellowing in pain and bleeding profusly, charged Aria. It was mortally wounded, but still very much alive.

Tristan yelled and stabbed the hippalecatryon in the flank, rendering it crippled.

Disoriented, Aria didn't raise her sword fast enough. She stumbled and fell back, bringing her sword up in an arc.

The monster, almost on top of her, burst into dust as the sword passed through it's skull as if it was water.
