| I came in, the smell of smoke burning my lungs. It was a place of sadness and misery. I didn't like it but I knew what i had to do. I pulled out a photograph of a girl with honey brown hair, big brown eyes, and a big smile. I tossed it in the fire, watching the flames burn away at it.
"Goodbye Blake. I'm sorry I coudn't save you." I wispered on the brink of tears. I curled up in the fetal poisition and began to weep my heart out |

| I trotted up to the body and laid a black shroud on the body. I lit it on fire and waited until the ashes had blown away, then left.

| I could smell death, and this place was reaking of it. Awesome. I went up an saw newly burnt ashes. They must have been that buzzing. It was someone dieing. Sweet. |

| I walk in and see the body on the pyre. Apparently, Raf forgot to light it. It wouldn't be good to leave it there where Cynder might see it... So I took out a match and lit it, then threw it into the pile of wood.
I watch the fire grow taller and taller. I leave as it burns out. |

| As I'm walking to the bus with Ev, I see a body burning. I want to see who it is out of couriosity. "Wait Ev, I just want to see who's body's burning!" I say and then walk up to the burning body, I look at the name on it and almost faint. The first and only thing I saw on the name was ART. I start crying really badly. |

| I walked to the funeral pyre. How many people's ashes lay here because of me, I couldn't even remember. How many of them were burned? How many had nothing but a shroud left? I felt guilty. The least I should do is make sure they had proper funerals or something...
Why was I like this? Why did I invariably kill, directly or not? Why was I always immediately cast out as the enemy?
It was because I WAS the enemy. A soulless monster existing only to take the lives of others... NO! I had to stop thinking like that! I had to have some emotion left... right? Besides anger? Was there a speck of happiness, even a drop of remorse left? Why was my laughter never real, just forced by the sitiuationto hurt others?
I thought I really was evil. And that's what I had feared all along. I turned and left. |
