Aria was angry at herself. A number of things were bothering her, usually the case, and she just needed to get away from people. She fingered her sword hilt as she made her not-so-careful way to the pile of boulders resembling deer droppings. Maybe she'd get lucky and's bump into a monster.

Citra walks in, her sketchbook under one arm and a cup of hot, chamomile tea in one hand. She has a pencil tucked behind her ear because she doesn't feel like holding it. Besides, it makes her look professional, which is something she likes. It gives her a look of authority.
She stops walking and looks around, unsure of where she is. She had never seen this part of camp before. She never participates in capture the flag, so she's never seen Zues's Fist, which just looked like a big pile of deer droppings from where she was standing.
Citra shrugs and sits down on a rock that juts out a bit, then sets her tea down after taking a sip. She then takes out her sketchpad and starts drawing a picture of her home in France, not noticing the other girl there. She sighs, still feeling homesick, even after all of the years she's been at camp.
She's constantly asked her dad if she could come back home in letters she sent, but he always said that she needs to stay at camp to stay safe, which Citra doesn't get. Egyptian demigods tend to get less attention than Greek demigods, so why does she have to stay? Besides, when she leaves, a monster can just kill her then. All in all, she sees the camp as pointless.

Aria, bored, wandered over to the girl. Sketchbook. Pencil behind her ear. Some tea drink. Definitely an artsy type or maybe a writer. She looked rather lost, as if unsure of exactly where she was. Come to think of it, Aria wasn't all that sure of her location either. Still, if she could find a decent sized monster she could test her powers. It wasn't like she'd give it brain damage or torture it or anything. The boulders wouldn't be a suitable place to retreat if madness did seize it. Still, boredom made her reckless. She didn't want to endanger the other girl though. Her stupidity should only punish herself anyway.
Instead of doing what she had been planning on, Aria walked over as casually as she could.
"I'm Aria," she said.

Citra hears someone say something, causing her to look up from her picture. She scowls slightly, but still offers her name. "Citra," is all she says, not in a speaking mood. Not that she ever really is. She picks up her styrophoam cup and takes another sip of her tea, then sets it down and starts sketching again.
She's getting really into the picture, remembering every detail as if she had just been there yesterday. She hasn't been home in almost three years, though, due to her fathers stubbornness.
Her hair flops over her eyes, and Citra blows it out of the way. It just falls back over her face again, causing her scowl to deepen. She reaches up and pushes her hair behind her ear, then goes back to her picture, feeling somewhat irritated. She hates being interrupted while she's working on her art, even if it's just a little bit of time. Every drop of time is valuable, as her father always told her.

Aria watched her sketch for a moment. She could tell that she was annoyed and though she had an apology on the tip of her tongue she deemed it best not to respond. No point in antagonizing her. Plus, she hadn't come to talk with a person who wanted to be left alone anyway. Focusing on the woods around the boulders, she drew her sword.

Citra sighs, getting sick of working on the same picture over and over again. She looks around for inspiration, then her eyes settle on the girl...Aria, isn't it? Something of the sort, she's sure.
Citra flips over to a fresh page and starts on the form of a body, but not the front of her body. She can't see that, so obviously she can't draw it. She draws her sword in, the hair, the clothes, as much as she can see with impeccable detail, not that she's trying to brag.
Once done with the body, she moves on to the hair, which has always been her favorite part.

Aria bent down and scooped up a rock. She could hear something moving around in the underbrush several feet forward and off to her left. Without straining her ears, she could tell it was something big. Her pulse raced. She hadn't practiced on anything larger than a relatively short hydra. The prospect of using it on something far larger was slightly intimidating, mostly because she couldn't predict how it would be effected. However, she reasoned, it was better sooner than later. Taking a moment to aim, she let loose the stone into the bushes.
