Life Before CHB*: Lilly lived a pretty happy childhood, as she would say, with her father and he never married anyone, which was good because she was still stuck on the idea of whoever her mother was and how she must just be perfect. Anytime she'd ask her father about her, though, he'd just smile and say she was "something" and "had a smile that could light a whole field of daisies", but "she'd had to go". This last part intrigued Lilly. One day a dog was chasing Lilly's cat, Misty, down the street and the girl, in desperation and not knowing what to do, but vainly wishing she could do something inadvertently sprang up a whole mess of thorns which stuck the dog and made him run off.
As the neighbors tried to figure the sudden appearance of such vile thorns in the yard of a neighbor known to keep a good garden, Henry realized the time had probably come and drove Lilly down to Camp Half Blood.
RP Example*: Lilly sat there, on the bench, swinging her legs. She already felt young just from her shy nature, but realized she was also younger than most kids at Camp Half Blood and so that cause nervousness to. Right now though, as she sat there, making a flower wreath, yet gently so as not to break the stems even, Lilly tried to not focus on what she kept hearing some of the passing kids say. It seemed most views on the gods and goddesses by their kids were not good and there were many abandonment issues. Lily didn't like to think that all that time of not knowing her mother, whom she now knew was Demeter, was because the goddess had just not cared. She held to vain hopes that were foolish and naive at times, she knew, but she was sure this wasn't one of them. There just...hadn't been any other way, as her father had told her.

A day...twice. I want her to not be too bad but still not to fluent at it, and if it's ok I might bump her down to 12 year old since she acts kiddish anyway. I thought at first that was too young but then noticed others had ten year olds and stuff.

and, for how long she waits...30 minutes to an hour? Is that actually too soon? Like I said, novice at it still, so.
