| Okay, so, during school, I get really destracted. I mean, it actaully HURTS to do my work when I'm that destracted. I hate it. It's worse then anything to me. I've been dealing with this since 3rd grade. And I'm homeschooled. Has anyone had this problem and been able to controll it? Please give me adivce! |

| Yes. I have to deal with it every day.
Limit your distractions. Turn off the TV and computer, seclude yourself in a quiet place and work. Then give yourself time constraints such as, math for 30 minutes, snack time for 5 minutes, science for 30 minutes, 3 minute break, and so on. Just make yourself focus for those thirty minutes, and don't stress if you don't finish it all in that set time. Give yourself a break and then work on something else for a while. Then come back later. (You don't have to follow this exactly, it's just an example.)
I hope this helps anyone who finds they are easily distracted. (: ________________ Jazmine/Hades Veshtov/Hecate Marcus/Apollo Ellie/Aceso Toph/Geb Zayden/Anubis Antony/Minerva(3rd) Kelli/Chione Jacqueline/Hecate Carter/unclaimed Gabriel/Adikia

| I agree with what Elle said. I know one of my friends cousins, who had severe ADD, his parents in order to help him focus on his school work turned their closet(it was a big walk in one) into like a little study room. The only thing it had in their was the table and chair he used, and plain yellow pencils along with his work, that way he would have no distractions. (He was so severe that just the pattern of the paint on their walls could make him distracted) just an idea! ________________ Kristal, Daughter of Ares, 15 Gemma, Daughter of Aphrodite, 17Mandy, Daughter of Demeter, 16Tullia, Daughter of Aeolus, 15Kripa Rashi, Daughter of Iaso, 16Cloe, Daughter of Gaea, 13Henry, Son of Eros, 12FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER AND TUMBLR (: KristalMarie101 Read my stories on FanFiction (: KristalWhitehead| Spoiler: | | |

| oooo i have really bad ADD, so yeah i have that problem all the time, just pretty much do what elle said, or you can try what i do and put head phones on and try to work like that (it helps limit stuff down like tv, or annoying things that would usually make it harder to concentrate) cuz according to my doctor kids with ADD learn better when their listening to something in the back ground. |

| I might be of some use! I have SI(Sensory Integration) where you can tell practically when a pin hits the floor, can't work when it's a certain temperature, doesn't "go with the flow", hyperactivity, a very short attention span and you become easily distracted, becomes anxious or distressed when feet leave the ground, etc. So it's kinda like ADHD. What I do is go into a dark room with a small desk lamp, and quiet radio. Nothing else. Have only the book, paper, pencil, etc. on the table. Nothing your not using at the moment on it...and wear clothes that won't distract you...yeah that's all from me! |

| I agree with Elleon. Ah, I have ADHD too, so what helped me a little was keeping my hands busy. Try using play-doh. It helps. Another idea is to plan out homework, for example, do math homework at 3:00, do science homework at 4:00, study for the test at 5:00, and so on. Also, try not to get distracted when you are typing up reports on the computer. I get distracted on the computer, and I get in big trouble...I hope this helps! |
