I laugh some-what evily. "No, no it wouldn't." I say, "IT WOULD BE PERFECT!" I turn all the way to Trent, "You see, if he's dead, I won't have to love him, talk to him, OR explain Cody to him!"

"ALTHOUGH, killing him WOULD be very helpful...I could never do it."

I come in.

"PIXIE!" I scream as she sits next to me, "Your good at killing right? KILL ALEXANDER FOR ME!"

I shrug, "...Yeah, okay."

PostSubject: Swordfighting [private]   2/4/2012, 10:53 am

Zack led me into the middle of the arena for swordfighting.
I looked around: everywhere I saw people fighting and I knew I hadn't a chance against anyone of them. Good to start the training.
I took off my leather jacket and dropped it, letting it fall next to me. I moved it out of my way with my foot.
I stroked my leather bracelet and my shield unfolded. It was a large round shield with a capital lambda on it. Leila had told me it was a spartan shield. I then took out my four-colour-ballpoint pen, Apokryphos. I looked at the colours, not knowing which one to press, but then I saw Zachary take out his sword, so I pressed the blue colour. I was holding a long black sword in my hand, made of stygian iron.
I looked shyly at Zachary. He mastered perfectly his weapons. I sighed and put a strain of hair that was across my face behind my ear.

She looked amazing with her shield out as well as her sword.

"Now, sword fighting isn't just about swinging and trying to get your opponent. It's quite like a chess game. You have to know when you're opponents going to attack, where, and how. If I were to see your arm retract, I can assume you're going to stab me, and if it's chest high, I know to guard my chest. You can also never underestimate your opponents." Zack said, while circling around her.

"For you, though, I wont use my shield." He tossed his shield to the side. He was going to wait for her to strike, but decided to attack first. He dashed quickly at her, and swung at her horizontally, but close enough to her shield where it would be easy to block.

Zachary impressed me with his explanations. He surely would be a great teacher.

He suddenly dashed at me. I didn't think and moved my shield around to block the sword. The rasping sound of metal against metal pained my ears and my heart started beating faster.

"Good, good." He said, taking a couple of steps back.
"So, what's your favorite hobbies?" Zack asked, as he rolled around her and tried to hit her back with the flat of his sword.

Okay, now he was completely deconcentrating me, asking my hobbies when he was trying to wound me.
I quickly turned round and deflected his sword with my shield.

- Hobbies? I like... playing the piano..

I flung my sword at him, but he parried easily. Damn.

- ... Reading...

I tried to attack him again, but he always parried without even thinking, it seemed to me.

"Is this you're first time sword fighting? You're doing great." Zack smiled.

"Well, I personally don't have very many hobbies. I guess sword fighting would be one," He parried another strike.

"I used to play the alto saxophone back in the day, but my mom got rid of it because I didn't 'practice.'" He remembered.

"I like to read too. Of course, ancient Greek, with dyslexia. I really like Odysseus." He parried, but she almost got him.

"And I like contemplating too. I don't have too many friends, so I like to read and reflect on Zeno and Aristotle and those guys."

ooc: yes it's a private topic, we made a special one cuz othewise too many people post

I looked at him, parrying a blow with my sword. I noticed our swords hadn't the same shape, his was long and straight whereas mine was shorter and a bit knife-shaped. It was perhaps a spartan sword, I mean, if I've already a spartan shield, it was just logic I had a spartan sword as well.
I thanked him for the compliment and nodded at his hobbies. It were great ones, I mean, I had never met a guy who liked Aristotle. It was great meeting someone like that.

- I like Odysseus too, I said. And as for contemplating... I do some meditation, but only once a month, I laugh, so it can't really be a hobby.

I tried to strike at him, but he parried.

- And ah yes, I said, swinging again my sword at him, I love listening to music.

"Ah, music," Zack said wisely. "The language of the universe, and its kind. The power that a single song can bring to one's mind. I enjoy Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, just orchestrated music in general." He whacked a stab away, it was way too close. He realized he was either starting to sound like an old man or some kind of refined gentleman.

"Tell me, my dear, what do you look for in a man?" He asked, wanting to change himself to fit her desires. She was absolutely amazing, even if he knew very little about her.

Wow! He had exactly the same music tastes as me! I absolutely loved Tchaikovsky, Bach and Beethoven, along with others like Chopin, Liszt, Grieg and Rachmaninov. Okay, I didn't only like classical music. I liked jewish music, epic music (like Two Steps from Hell) and rock-punk music, (my favourite groups being Green Day, Muse, and Daft Punk) and -

His last sentence caused my thoughts to stop suddenly.

I looked up to him,my sword stopped in mid-air. I frowned.

Then I continued the movement of my sword, aiming for his head. He blocked of course.

I let my arm drop and took two steps back, thinking of something to answer. It was a good question. What did I look for in a boy? I had had only one boyfriend in my life, and that had been two years ago. Okay, several other boys fell in love with me, but I hadn't answered their love.
I remembered that first boyfriend, and thought of all the things I had loved in him. I found out there wasn't any love left in me for him.

What had I loved in him? Everything was gone, I suddenly realized with surprised horror.

I saw the son of Zeus frown. I had to answer quickly. So I did.

- I like frank guys, I finally say. Who don't hide themselves or boast. No flirty boys who do as if they were in love with a girl, and break up after two days. If you see what I mean.

He might take this last part personally, I thought suddenly. It wasn't meant to. I got on.

- I like boys who make me laugh, I added. And those who are open for new and with which I know I'm not gonna get bored.

I looked up to him.

- I hate boring guys, I explained. And too shy ones. You never get on with them.

I swung my sword at his legs. He blocked it immediately.

- And there's one thing that's crucial, I said, taking advantage that our swords were blocked and looking directly into his blue eyes. They have to be interesting.

I moved my blade free and flunged it again at him, aiming for his neck. But suddenly, my right foot slipped away and I fell on my back, letting go of my sword.

Alright. I'm frank. At least I think I am. Close enough, Zack went over in his mind.

I may be a bit flirty, but that came with an "and break up two days later", which means including, not necessarily no flirting. I can't see myself breaking up with anyone two days later.

Funny? I guess I'm quite humorous when I can, but I haven't exactly had any witty moments yet. And open for new ideas? I'm all about this.

I don't think I'm boring or too shy. I'm generally out going. No marks against me yet.

Interesting is crucial? I can say I'm interesting. I mean, come on, I have a god for a dad. That's pretty interesting.

But she has a god for a mom. It's not that interesting when it's the normal thing.

True, true. But I'm interesting in other areas, such as -

It seemed to be happening in slow motion. Perhaps it was his adrenaline, he didn't really know or care.

She was falling.

He caught the sword with his hands, not much thinking about cuts, and zoomed to catch her. He succeded, though by not much.

"You alright?" He smiled, looking into her eyes.

Blue. All I was seeing was blue. And some other uninteresting movements behind the blue, far away.

Then everything came step by step.

First I realized the blue things I was looking at were in fact Zack's eyes.
Then I noticed he had caught my sword - with his hands. How had he done it? He was incredibly fast!
I finally realized he was holding me. And I was gripping tightly his forearms not to fall back again.

He had caught me too. I felt I was frowning. He definitely was the fastest guy I had ever met, it was an almost inhuman speed. Well, of course, he was god to the half, that helped.

- Yes, I'm alright, I managed to say. Thanks.

I was feeling a bit dazed, and failed to recover my balance, so I gripped Zack's arms more tightly, hoping I wasn't hurting him. We were so close I could see every detail of his face.
I shifted, feeling uncomfortable.

It was so perfect. He could see into her angelic eyes, and her splendid face.

"You truly are the most lovely woman I have ever met." Zack stated. He didn't care what she thought, it was true to him.

He shook out of his trance. He pulled her up, still looking into her eyes.

"Uh, here's your sword." Zack said, handing it to her. He ran his fingers through his long hair, only to feel a warm liquid on his head.

"What the-" He muttered, looking at his hand. There was a long cut across his fingers, as he had caught the sword by the blade. It was bleeding, but it wasn't anything to worry about.

"Damn it..." He whispered, but he cared little for the wound, and much more for Morgan.

"What would you like to do now, my dear?" Zack asked her.
