| Name: Cassandra LaBranche Age: 15 Gender: Female Eyes: Green Hair: Wavy, wispy brown Height: 5’8 Body Type: Slim Skin Color: Caucasian God Parent: Apollo Mortal Parent: Naomi LaBranche Country of Origin: American Pets: Snake Talents: Healing, archery, running Weapon: Celestial bronze bow and arrow Flaws: doesn’t trust or have confidence in people; overly independent; too honest Powers(must relate to god parent; optional): manipulation of sunlight. The light energy she takes in depends on the amount of her own energy she surrenders. She can store the light and can apply its healing properties. She can use it about 8 times a day. Life Before CHB: Her mom was already married when she met Apollo and had Cassandra, but after Apollo left, she fell into depression and turned to alcohol. Cassandra grew up with lots of step- and half-siblings, and her stepdad was almost always at work; the only great family relationship she had was with her half-sister Kara. Cassandra always knew she was different from the rest of her family, but when Kara told her that she thought their mom had had an affair to have Cassandra, she was in 7th grade, and weird things started happening. Her mom finally told her one night the truth in a half-drunken stupor, telling her about Camp Half-Blood, and when a monster attacked her at home, she fled there. RP Example: I stumbled down the block, feeling heavy with guilt and confusion. The bow strapped against my back was comforting, but did nothing to ease the burdens inside. How much longer until I reach this “Camp Half-Blood?”—or had this been another one of Mom’s delusions? But no, that monster had been real enough; I shuddered from the memory. | Her healing powers are limited to what can be done to speed up the healing process; for example, she can't just make limbs grow back, because that couldn't possibly happen naturally. So I guess the worst wounds she could heal would be punctured organs and the loss of a lot of blood. |

| (Do you know Bella Mclean?)
And I don't see how she can heal blood loss... considering that healing doesn't replace blood. And punctured organs seem a little extreme for the usual healing limits. ________________ Kendall, Daughter of Ares Rosalie, Daughter of Aphrodite Claire, Daughter of Hecate Archer, Son of Hecate Stella, Daughter of Ouranos Meagan, Daughter of Gaea Aidan, Daughter of Pyriphlegethon Tempest, Daughter of Aeolus Nelly, Daughter of Apollo Benji, Daughter of Kuk Deja, Daughter of Odyne Mason, Son of Hermes Waldo, Son of Hermes Terra, Daughter of Tiki Lucy, Daughter of Somnus; First Cohort Dorian, Legacy of Mefitis; Third Cohort

| (Why? Should I know Bella?) As for the healing--the body, over time, creates more blood cells naturally; Cassandra can speed up that process. If too much blood is lost, she might not be able to speed up the process quickly enough, of course. As for punctured organs, perhaps I should have clarified to "puncture wounds". If the organ is punctured too severely, there is not much Cassandra could do, but she can speed that healing process up enough that the wound is not so fatal. |

| When I think of "puncture wounds" I normally imagine things like stepping on a nail and... well ow, not punctured organs. Normally apollo kids can just seal up minor wounds like cuts and scrapes. They may have talent in treating other ailments, but not actually use their powers to heal them. ________________ Jazmine/Hades Veshtov/Hecate Marcus/Apollo Ellie/Aceso Toph/Geb Zayden/Anubis Antony/Minerva(3rd) Kelli/Chione Jacqueline/Hecate Carter/unclaimed Gabriel/Adikia

| Hmm, okay. How about the worst wounds she can heal are broken bones? |

| How broken? Like absolutely shattered into a bunch of pieces or some form of a minor-ish fracture?

| She can't heal things like shattered bones--only more minor fractures or clean breaks or dislocations. She's also pretty talented with things like herbs and such; you know, healing in the more natural or orthodox sense. |

| How much light can she store (sunlight?) and is there anything else she can do with it?

| To gather the light and store it, she must expend that same amount of her own energy as she is storing. That said, the most light she is able to store at one time is about half of the energy she herself has. Any more than that and her body can't contain it. She can use the light to light up a room, heal, and blind people. If she blinds someone with it, it'll only be for about ten seconds; just enough to take them by surprise or get away. |

| Name: Laya Hughes Age: 13 Gender: Female Eyes: Deep brown, but changes shades Hair: Shoulder-length wavy hazelnut brown Height: 5’1 Body Type: Almost painfully skinny; wispy Skin Color: White, pale God Parent: Athena Mortal Parent: Quinn Hughes Country of Origin: Canada Pets: None Talents: Very smart, photographic memory, good at writing, fast physically, and quick-witted Weapon**: a family heirloom knife—not celestial bronze, but she turns out to be good with it Flaws: shy, fearful, insecure, overestimates others, underestimates herself Powers(must relate to god parent; optional): None Life Before CHB*: She grew up with a loving single father who had an at-home business job who always believed in her, despite his frustrations sometimes with her insecurities. He recognized her intelligence and encouraged it, and when she turned 12, he told her the truth about Athena, and when monsters started appearing, he gave her a knife to practice with. Outside of her home life, she had few friends, and people actually thought she was mentally disabled because of her quietness and dyslexia. At 13, her father realized that she would be better off at camp, and took her there, promising she could come back as soon as she was ready. RP Example*: I listen to their conversation, aware that they probably haven’t realized I’m here. It’s not like I’m hiding, though; it seems like people tend to just see through me sometimes. It’s an advantage, of course, considering the knowledge that can be gained through my invisibility—not to mention the element of surprise—but I’ll admit it can get lonely sometimes. Why can’t I ever seem to manage to maintain a voice louder than a squeak? (Will PM admin if anything ever changes)
