Flaws: Loyal to the death, Has a dark, malicous side that appears whenever he is threatened or when he is subjected to a large amount of power. While his dark side is more powerful, he cannot control himself in this state, almost as if he was posessed and could easily wind up attacking his friends with little provocation. He also occasionally goes through periods of intense migranes. these usually happen at incredibly inconveinient moments. He also doesnt take well to authority.

Powers: He manipulates shadow magic, which covers shadow energy as a power source or weapon and can use it for stealth. Can invoke fears and otherwise control shadows. He cant use his shadow powers in absolute broad daylight. As long as there is a shadow thick enough he can manipulate it. The most powerful thing he can do is a bolt of shadow energy which is enough to shatter concrete. Thats the most powerful thing he can do at his current power level. His strongest power ever, as in it would take ages of training to complete, would be to send out a wake of energy that drives anyone caught in the wave insane and phisically main them as well. This poer would only come after at least a year of intense training. Also the more he uses his powers, the more he slips into his malicious mental state. Effectively, using his powers corrupts him. He eventually overcomes his twisted mind frame after a while though.

Life Before CHB*: Spent his school years performing stage magic until an undercover monster in his school suspected him of being a demigod. After an attempted kidnapping, he left his current school in an attempt to escape the monster that was pursuing him, Alas, this failed and he wound up running himself into a corner. When the monster attempted its Coup de Gras, he managed to escape by dissolving into shadows, which was when he realised he was a demigod. He ran from his home in London, and after being pushed in her general direction, he arrived on the shores of America, where he encountered a satyr. He eventually after a year of running wound up at camp half blood.

RP Example*: Catos sprinted through the forest, branches and plant stalks whipping across his face, scratching his cheeks. His friend, Stacy ran alongside him huffing against the effort to maintain her pace. Catos blushed, he had always found her cute since they first met in Maryland. he chanced a look behind him and finally discovered what had been chasing him, three Laistrogonian giants. He gritted his teeth in annoyance, this would be hard. He looked over to Stacy and said,
"Give me a second." She huffed, a slight puff out her rose petal lips and nodded dizzily and continued to run. She was a daughter of Aphrodite and he thought she fitted that description perfectly. He smiled and a warm tingle went down his spine, he would do this for her! He turned around and pulled out what to the unknowing mind would be a boring playing card, but to him and Stacy was much more, it was his sword, Apokryfes. He span the Ace between his fingers and the card turned a dark black and began to extend. In the blink of an eye the steel had completely transformed from a metal playing card into a long jet-black sword with a purple energy emanating from the sword. He looked one of the giants dead in the eye and leaped into battle.

I think the wave is too strong. How insae and injured would a person be? Can they resist the insanity?

They could resist it but it would require a lot of mental power. The phisical damage isnt too severe, at most it would stain parts of the skin purple and minor blood poisoning, nothing much. The insanity is straight-jacket level. The range of the wave is about five metres

Yeah. I don't think many people would like the insanity part.

Well it is meant to be a power learnt only after years of backbreaking training and even then, it would have a massive drawback and probably make him completely psychotic and attempt to kill anything that moves. its a power that would only ever be used if there was no other option, as it would probably send him mad as well.

Then how long does his psychotic state last, as well as the blast of insanity?

The blast of insanity lasts until the suffering person can be bothered to break through it, then it requires mental strenght to attempt to wrestle past the wall of insanity. As soon as the target has broken through, the insanity wall completely disappears. When Catos suffers from a reasonably mild psychotic state, it either passes normally after bog standard "take a deep breath" or, in the case of the mentality induced as a result of the wave, a couple of days of solitary confinement would be a solution to his predicament.

For the insanity blast, the insanity has to go away after a certain amount of time (assuming the RP-er wants it to).

Oh yeah of course it wears off, it just takes a bit of effort on the person suffering from it, its not permanent.

What do you mean by "invoke fears"? Does he show a person a vision of their fears? (If so, how many times a day and for how long? Can they resist?)

Its a brief flash, like they imagine seeing something out of the corner of their eye that terrifies them. If they have the guts then of course they can resist, as long as the character has enough courage to overcome their fear. It is more powerful the darker the surroundings are and it can be used around 5 times a day (is that too much to ask?)

5 times? Nah, not really.

Can you remove the "turn into shadows" part of his powers, though? We don't allow shape-shifting at all.

Powers: (can only use while wearing his ring) can channel wind currents to either be used as a weapon or to accelerate him to high velocities. The ring needs to recharge if its power is overexerted.
Life Before CHB*: He and his mother spent their life running. As a result, Shrike doesnt know which country he is originally from, as his family have always been travelling across the world. Just before his 14th birthday, his god parent revealed himself to him, along with his mother. Needless to say it was the best day of his life. That day, Aeolus gave him a ring, saying that this ring would give him his powers. After that, he set off for Camp, running all the way...

I got such a high of the feeling of wind breaking on my face, as I pushed the sound barrier to its limits. In the distance he saw the crest of the hill, half blood hill. The sight spurred him on and he continued to run, his golden ring leaving a faint trail of energy as he ran. This was going to be the time of his life...

The speed of sound is far too fast. It's usually 20 mph we allow, something near that. (And he seems a bit too abnormally fast....:/)

Oh right sorry, forgot to edit out the CJ bit. He can use his powers as long as he has his ring, which. has about an hours worth of wind currents every 12 hours, so two hours of currents every 24hours. Ill edit the speed down. Most powerful thing is to concentrate the wind currents from either behind or below him to effectively shoot him at someone/something. This takes a lot of power from his ring. He can use this to "fly" briefly.

So, where does the ring get its power from? Does it take no energy from him at all?

How high and far can the currents shoot him?

The ring gets its power from the area around him, absorbing power from the wind and movement. The shoot fires him at speeds dependant on how much energy he uses. If he uses a lots its near sonic, but can barely hold it for a few seconds before hes drained. If its slower he can maintain it for longer. It takes no energy from him but hes weak without it.
