Hanson's Bunk

I walked in with a stupid, dreamy look on my face, then fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow, and of course I dreamed about Nix.

Hanson ran in and grabbed a backpack. He opened a box underneath his bed, counted exactly 500 dollars and stuffed them into his backpack. He rummaged through his drawer. He pulled out a white collared shirt, black tie and tux jacket, and shoved them in his bag. He grabbed all his other clothes that he would need, and his toothbrush and such, managed to fit them in too, and ran out the door again.

Hanson stumbled in with Nix.

Nix pushed him onto his bed, then started shuffling through his drawers, looking for something she can use as a rag.

He closed his eyes, and thanked the gods the room was dark. Lights made his head hurt even more. He placed his hands on his head, and his skin was really hot.

Nix took off her sweater, ripping it. She soaked a piece of her sweater in water, then she placed it on his head, as she felt it.

Hanson sighed at the feel of something cold on his forehead.

"Shhhh." Nix tried to soothe him. She wasn't exactly the best healer out there. She lifted his shirt, trying to see if she wounded him where her dagger was pressing against.

bic: Hanson calmed down slightly, being really quiet in order to hear the sound of Nix breathing.

Nix turned around, wetting another piece of her jacket. She cleaned Hanson's wound, examining it.

Hanson winced, but didn't move or anything. He just listened, and soon he was asleep.

Nix, patching up the wound, having barely any clue she was doing, pulled up a chair, watching him breathe. Before she knew it, she was asleep.

Hanson woke up, and since it was winter and early morning, it was still dark out. He saw Nix looking uncomfortable in the chair. He painfully got up and picked her up, placing her on the bunk, close to the wall. He crawled in, facing the open air, letting there be plenty of space between them two, and fell asleep again.

Nix sighed, feeling much more comfortable..She didn't even notice being carried. She was so tired she just didn't care. Later on she woke up, finding herself next to Hanson. She rubbed her eyes. It was around one am? She frowned. "Hanson," She whispered.

He blinked awake at hearing his name. He was staring into the face of Nix. "Nightmares?" He asked quietly.

Nix shook her head. "You..want me to leave to my bunk?" She asked uncertainly.

"No!" Hanson blurted out, grabbing her arm. He let go as quickly as he had reached out. "I mean... I might have more nightmares if you do."

Nix rubbed her eyes. "Okay. Just wake me up if you feel you need anything."

Hanson nodded, silently just watching her. He didn't have the heart to tell her what his nightmares were about, so he rolled over on his back and stared up at the ceiling.

Nix huddled herself in the corner of the bunk, feeling cold. She rubbed her hands against, trying to cause some warmth.

Hanson glanced at Nix. She was all huddled up, looking cold. He was really still for a moment, then made up his mind and scooted next to her. He put his hands on her shoulders and made his hands warm up with that light of his.

He stiffened, then wrapped his arms around her, as if giving her a hug, only he didn't let go. "You're most definitely welcome."

Nix fell asleep again, a blissful smile on her face. Before she fell asleep, she mumbled a few words. "You're too good."
