Olivia climbed up onto the branch, and sat there, thinking about. . . well, thinking about Catos. It was amazing how quickly it was to become friends with some people, him especially. It had been a while since she had had friends. But Catos was different then who she used to hang out with. He was so brave, when he rushed into camp with three giants chasing after him . . . and then he had turned around and fought, before even reaching the barrier. Olivia shook her head, realizing how weak and ridiculous she sounded. He was just a friend. A good friend, mabye, but still, just a friend.

Olivia sighed, jumped off of the branch onto shore, and walked out back to her cabin.

I sit there and stare at the empty place where Sammy usually sits. He's late again. He's always late. Am I just something to fill the gap of time between breakfast, lunch and dinner? He tells me I'm not. But I am, aren't I? I need to go home for Christmas.

I looked over at the girl with her head bent, i think they call her Kat? she was murmuring something, like she was trying to speak. i had always admired Kat, the way she could keep all her emotions to herself. i wasnt that strong.

Kat finished with her exercise, didn't know what to do. She was stumped. She obviously wasn't going to make friends, since she was often hostile, and her not knowing many English words cause her to only observe others talk, and her trying to imitate them.

I noticed Kat had stopped mumbling. It was clear Sammy wasn't going to show up, might as well talk to her. I walk up. "Hi"

I looked over at the kid reading, i came over to him, "Hi." I said, smiling at him.

'Hi, i'm angel." i said.

I shook his hand, "Nice to meet you to."
