Because back in the 50s and such that's where the women were. The kitchen. And men are suck sexist pigs that they don't realize that times have changed. Hurp durp. Ain't that hard.

...You really must sort out your priorities. ACTUALLY, if you believe in the bible, they're the reason we're on this Earth. But no in the 50s women spent most of their time cooking and cleaning because it was deemed unfit for women to have jobs, because men were suppose to be like the "knight in shining armor" type figure and women the 'princess', if you see. While women have grown out of that and into the 'all humans are equal' stage, many men are still sexist in the thought that they still believe women belong in the kitchen and cleaning and that men belong out working.

fist of shadows: sorry wasn't trying to be mean, (the ranting is pointed at my dad, its just the way i am when it comes to this....and i wasnt trying to insult you, srry if i did.

carlos: yeah i happen to believe in the bible, and I guys are on earth cuz we girls give birth to them.... that really has nothing to do with the bible, and thats also why we should be treated equal. Also "knights in shinning armor" is also a stereotype, cuz not all guys are and im pretty sure there was at least a few girls back then who hated to be treated like "princesses"

Actually it has EVERYTHING to do with the bible. Without Adam there would be no Eve. WOMEN are on this Earth because GOD thought MALES needed companionship. Girls are on this Earth because men had se* with the daughters mom. Your arguments are invalid. ESPECIALLY according to my first three sentences.

I find all this really stupid because only a sexist idiot would even have to ask this..

And I think he was talking to me. I basically called him an idiot.

Yes it IS a stereotype but that's the way it was suppose to be back then so get the hell over it?

i thought he was talking to me,

the bible says god created adam and made eve from his ribs. And that the husband must treat the wife with respect. Its got some to do with it, but you dont see a list of things a girl can and cant do....

and sinse your profile says your a boy, i'm just gonna assume you have no idea what your talking bout anyway, and havent been treated differently because your a girl. yes girls were always in the kitchen, and cleaned, but that was back then, but during world war two most woman worked mens jobs, and even before that woman were trying to get equal rights.

and also i wouldnt have said anything baxk if you hadnt first

and if i dont make sense to you well thats just becuz i never make sense anywhere but my head.

First off...THAT WAS EXTREMELY SEXIST. And second. I'm a girl, thanks. DORKETTE. Member me? Kay. Profiles lie. Kay. Now second. You can't say anything on a topic about steriotypical sexism when YOU YOURSELF are being steriotypical and sexist. Thank you. End rant. Good night. Get some info and look back into your shiesh.

because msot men where lazy when it came to the hard work back then.

to the other post by dorky and pilot

I am seriously offended.....

when I am at my mom's house me and my step mom who is pretty much a guy do the cooking

only time my mom eats is microwave or eating out

not to be mean or something but from the past you cannot judge all men today.

we cannot live without each other we are all equal.if it was just boys we would eather all get lazy or crazy or all just try and come up with something.girls on the other hand,I don't know because I am not one, you decide.

not to disagree or anything but I am just giving my honest opinion.

Technically a male or female isn't more important than each other. Guys balance girls out, and vise versa. Both genders need each other to produce children to keep the race alive. And since I don't believe in the bible, and I assume that we all knowthe scientific explaination, I won't go over that.
But what Eric said is true, and it proves that this stereotype is completely stupid and WRONG. Some women dont cook or clean. They work, instead, and have the male take care of these things. Or maybe, neither genders cook, so they order take out, and have their kids tidy up the house. Something like that.

Excuse any grammar mistakes;;
