I walked back towards the graveyard, still chuckling to myself about Balder and his little mistletoe problem. And we'd been romanticizing mistletoe in America for years.... What was so good about it anyway? Why would anybody want to kiss under something that could potentially end the world for the Norse as they knew it?

I saw a girl walk in, I couldn't make out an identity from the darkness but the moon did show her dark hair.I glanced her again and the moon light reflected from this angle to reveal her face, it was Benji "Hello, Benji" I said leaning on a tree, my hair was very very long, maybe I should cut it.

"Oh, hello, Oblivious." Thanks to my little walk, my eyes were already wonderfully adjusted to the darkness. Oblivious looked like he needed a haircut desperately -- maybe a pair of shears would do. I glanced around the graveyard, seeing a burnt tree lying nearby -- probably from our fight with the hydra. Nothing since that happened had been as interesting to me; I was stuck at camp dealing with idiots that belonged more in preschool or a psychiatric ward.

"how have you been lately?" I asked, nothing else to do around here, it was almost time for curfew at camp, I could take care of the harpies if they came after me or I could also bring up some sort of research excuse, I am fit to become a scientist when I leave camp, after all.

"I've been fine. Just dealt with a Vietnam War veteran in the library, apparently. Wouldn't stop shouting like a drill sergeant." I rolled my eyes, flicking a mosquito off my arm. It flew away, clearly annoyed, but the spot it'd been on was already beginning to itch a bit. I glanced around the graveyard, noting some of the graves still looked slightly singed.

The Vietnam war was pointless n my Opinion, the Americans got involved when they shouldn't have". I said remembering mos of the details, I was there for every other war too.It wasn't frightening for me, where there is death in the area is also my terrain, my father collected dead souls from the battle field from what I would expect of him.

"Honestly, I don't care much for wars -- most of them are by greedy countries trying to expand in some way. Egos, oil territory, whatever." I leaned against a tree that was still standing, but I noticed a bit of burnt bark on it, a foot off the ground. "America the beautiful -- and the nosy, I'd say."

"Hm. Were you in the Lotus Casino too?" I was examining my nails, noting one had broken. Tch. If Oblivious had told me he'd been in there, I didn't remember. I shifted so that my back was against the tree, gazing up at the sky. A cloud had drifted to cover the moon -- was it a full moon tonight? Eh, whatever.

"Hm. So you poked your head out of there every once and a while?" I reached up and tapped a broken branch above my head, which was dangling on a few splinters. I simply grabbed it and pulled it off with a little crack, tossing it to the ground.

"But you'll get farther in conversation if you two disagree and hold out your points for the other to examine," I replied simply, walking over to the broken vase. The thing looked old -- maybe a few years, since it was almost colorless and entirely shattered. "You'll be a bit annoyed at each other, but at least you're not still on the weather."

I nodded, she knew much more about socializing then I did, I spent most of my life alone and mainly rejected others from my life.I grew up practicing summoning the dead, I hanged around graveyards, and I use to be much more aggressive."well, I recently took a job as a librarian at the library" I started.

"One of the ones in New York, or in camp?" I didn't feel like kicking apart what remained of the vase -- I frowned into the dark, trying to read the faded name.... Ronald Atkinson. Was he related to the Mrs. Atkinson with the snake grave stone? Maybe, but Atkinson was a common last name, in my opinion.

I clucked my tongue; well, that was disappointing. "Now, that's not the way librarians operate. Some don't need to yell -- just glare and ask why the book's late. It's a lot more amusing." I'd seen it a lot at home and sometimes even at camp, and I always ended up laughing quietly when the target walked away, slightly sullen and angry and thinking they'd done nothing wrong.
